Our Blurring Bodies opens onto a pictorial universe where the formless and realism converge. Reinterpreting the historical conventions of the nude through a queer lens, the artist depicts bodies obscured by a white substance that evokes paint. Stereotypical representations of subjects and fixed notions of gender dissolve, giving way to a new imagery of intersubjective relationships expressed through touch, fluidity, and interweaving. Within the pictorial material, the boundaries between bodies are blurred and identities shift; the artist stages a form of intimacy in which the sensuality of painting meets that of emotional and affective bonds.

L'exposition Nos corps fluides de Rosalie Gamache ouvre sur un univers pictural où s’unissent l’informe et le réalisme. Revisitant les codes historiques du nu dans une perspective queer, l’artiste représente des corps dissimulés par une matière blanche qui évoque la peinture. S’effacent alors les représentations stéréotypées des sujets et l’appartenance à un genre au profit d’une nouvelle imagerie des rapports intersubjectifs, s’exprimant dans le toucher, la fluidité et l’entrelacement. Dans la matière picturale, les frontières entre les corps sont brouillées, les identités oscillent; l’artiste propose une mise en scène de l’intimité où la sensualité de la peinture rencontre celle des liens affectifs.
