The Corps recouverts series explores the nude in a queer posture by representing androgynous bodies covered in a material reminiscent of paint. This fluid material symbolizes gender identities in transition; the representation of the bodies dissolves in the abstract material that enwraps them. Devoid of aesthetics, the bodies that Rosalie Gamache paints are part of another line than heteronormative imagery by distancing themselves from the classical nude, where the female body is passive and offered to the male gaze.

La série des Corps recouverts explore le nu dans une posture queer en représentant des corps androgynes recouverts d’une matière évoquant la peinture. Cette matière fluide symbolise les identités de genre en transitions des modèles avec lesquels l'artiste travailler; la figuration des corps se dissout dans la matière abstraite qui les englobe. Dépourvus d’esthétisation, les corps que Rosalie Gamache peint s’inscrivent dans une autre lignée que l’imagerie hétéronormée en se distanciant du nu pictural classique, où le corps féminin est passif et livré au regard masculin.
